In high school, Pat dabbled in classical guitar and bass guitar and was in the Glee Club and Guitar Club. In college, she self-studied guitar, started her own all-girl punk rock band in the basement of a bakery, landed a couple of jobs in radio and became a music DJ , spinning at various clubs in the Hartford, CT area.

Additionally, she has worked with songwriters and producers in Nashville, been a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and has participated in the Maine chapter of NSAI. Pat is a life-time member of the Maine Songwriters Association (MSA) and a former Member of the MSA Board. She  is also the founding member of a songwriting group, Seacoast Songwriters Association, in southern Maine.

Pat has studied guitar at Berklee Scool of Music and earned a certificate from Berklee's Coursera:  https://www.coursera.org/account/accomplishments/records/gPF92AEySK7dbcd2 and also songwriting with Berklee Professor Pat Pattison: https://www.coursera.org/account/accomplishments/certificate/6PG9W93FV4

Musical influences:  I fell in love with The Beatles at the age of 4. In my teens, I absorbed every lyric and melody of the legendary singer songwriters like Bob Dylan, Carole King, James Taylor, and Van Morrison. I developed a love of blues greats like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf,  Lightnin' Hopkins and Stevie Ray Vaughn.. As punk music took the world by storm, in my early 20s, I couldn't get enough of The Police, Pretenders, The Eurythmics, Elvis Costello, and let's not forget pop icons Madonna and the late Michael Jackson.  Bottom line: I love all kinds of music which is why I became a DJ and songwriter.
